How is that any different from the common practice of listing a state sales tax on a receipt? If you buy something from Amazon now, the state sales tax is listed. People know what their state and local sale tax is so they know about how much to expect. With the trump tax we won't know how how much of the price is retail and how much is trump tax.
I think listing the trump tax will save the retailers a lot of head aches with customers who have not been paying attention. My guess of the number of unaware citizens is about 1/3 of the population.
