I am a pediatrician, one of the most important rolls pediatricians have done in the last several decades has been the development of screening tolls for genetic defects to screened at birth. The diseases screened have increased in number over the years as interventions in many diseases have progressed. DOGE has suspended this important committee, just days before it was to update the list. This is a major crime against the vulnerable.

4. i used to b a hospice volunteer.

i didnt see many kids, but we did have 1 family w a kid w 1 of these disorders. i’m sorry i dont remember what it was. but it was 1 that if u knew, u cd treat it.

his mom, while caring for this severely disabled child, went on a crusade to get testing for it for all newborns. this is crushing that her hard work is gonna b flushed.
