Anchorage Vote Centers Open for Municipal Election
Anchorage's vote centers will open on Tuesday, March 31 to offer in-person voting and other voter services ahead of the city's municipal election on April 7. The centers will be open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday, April 4 from noon to 4 p.m. Voters can also drop off mail-in ballots at secure drop box locations around the city.
WHY IT MATTERS
The upcoming Anchorage municipal election will determine six Anchorage Assembly seats and two at-large Anchorage School Board positions, as well as several municipal bond measures and a tax levy. Ensuring accessible voting options is crucial for residents to make their voices heard in local government.
THE DETAILS
In addition to in-person voting, the vote centers offer the opportunity to replace a lost or damaged ballot, drop off a mailed ballot or receive other assistance or services, including access to ADA-accessible voting machines. Registered voters who did not receive a ballot may also pick one up at these locations. Secure ballot drop boxes are available at 18 locations around the city.
