GA-SEN: Ossoff posts $20M fundraising haul with $42M in bank

Sen. Jon Ossoff (Ga.), considered the most vulnerable Democratic incumbent in the Senate this cycle, posted a $20 million fundraising haul in the second quarter of the year as he fights against challenger Rep. Mike Collins (R) to hang on to his seat this fall.

Ossoff ended the second quarter with $42 million in cash on hand, according to his campaign.

The haul comes as Republicans plan to spend big against the incumbent, including a $44 million pledge earlier this year from the Senate Leadership Fund, which is affiliated with Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.).

But Ossoff’s second-quarter fundraising dwarfed that of Collins’s campaign, which announced it raised $2.1 million with roughly that amount in cash on hand, as reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
