Personally I don't see any reason for Democrats to make this woman's life miserable. She's already grieving the loss of her only brother and she's about to move to Washington for the next 6 months. Things are bad enough for her right now, and she doesn't seem to have any political ambitions of her own. She'll just vote however she's told.

We recognize it for what it is. Even the republicans are treating it like a minor distraction. It's a free-for-all for the new R primary. Everybody that lost the R gov primary is running, and Nancy Mace gets yet another opportunity to humiliate herself.

FWIW there are 3 ANNIE signs in my neighborhood, and I never see D signs here. There were no signs for Lindsay.

There was a lot of chatter on Nextdoor about how much the magas hate Lindsay but were going to hold their noses and vote for him anyway. I may not be getting the full picture because I have muted so many people on there.

There's no telling what impact the replacement will have until we see who it is.
