Remember the old Warner Bros cartoons from the 40s involving a big bulldog named Spike, and a yappy little dog trying to ingratiate himself to him? "Do ya wanna chase cars, Spike? Huh? Do ya?" Spike woukd then backhand him into some garbage cans while replying, "Nah." Chester would pick himself up and say that, yeah, it was a stupid idea then suggest something else.
That was Lindsey. Always needing to attach himself to an, "alpha." With McCain it was mostly benign, but when he passed, Graham chose to simp for Trump and continue doing so no matter the humiliation.
In the cartoons, the roles of the dogs changed through an amusing series of events.
Lindsey was always Chester though.
I've thought of that too many times for the whole list of Spike enablers. Fits perfectly

(8,306 posts)I didn't remember the cartoon at all at first... but the first thing that popped into my mind was "Chester the Molester"... which all republican's seem to be in form or another. Sorry... maybe it's just my twisted personality!
