is likely to have some parallels to what we are experiencing in the Trumposphere. Started rewatching Ken Burns' excellent documentary on the Civil War last night. The escalating divisions between pro-slavers and abolitionists, the uptick in violent individual conflicts that even spread to members of Congress and the emergence of militias on each side. Eerie similar mood in the country then and now.
