The NYT picks up on an amazing Dallas urban story (Halperin Park). Worth the read!

It is being studied as a model of other potential urban parks, including in other cities in Texas. Great pics and a history, and I notice that my donor friend isn't even mentioned in the article. He wasn't interested in a "lookit me" gesture, he just wanted to do something good for the people and his city.

One word of caution--to those who never miss a chance to bash Texas as a whole, this might not fit in with your narrative. Fair warning!
