They hate California elections because they are so accurate and so good.
In a huge state like California, where an estimated 80% of the people vote by mail, it is a gargantuan task to verify and validate such a huge number of voters.
Yes, they are slow. But they are accurate.
They give people the right to vote by mail right up to election day, so long as it is postmarked as such. And what difference should it make to anyone, who's being honest about it, whether they find out tomorrow who won the primary, or if they have to wait three weeks to find out, after every legal vote is counted. After all, the general election is not until November.
They hate California because they are so hard to defraud. Also, they hate California because they do not tend to vote red. They are generally very blue.

Its not the 70s. We have computers and such and can automate anything. I am not understanding how it takes weeks to count votes and that seems acceptable. It should be automated. All of the states. And then easily audited if required once again digitally. Im all for the results at the end of this thing, but this isnt Nobel prize processes. Its counting votes and taking a month to do it.

But, in my opinion, if a person was going to send in a mail-in ballot, most would not waste the money on a stamp and put their signature on it, if they were illegal migrants or a criminal. Just my opinion.
But in their desire to give everyone the right to vote and to make sure their vote is counted, this is the sacrifice that California has made, and it is up to them, not Donald Trump or the Feds.

Last vote is due by the 9th. Vote certified on July 10th. That
..is very slow. The entire thing. You can always excuse inefficiency by claiming thoroughness. This doesnt look efficient.

I'm sure they could mandate that mail-in votes be postmarked a week earlier and they could run all the ballots thru the machines without signature verification and we would know the winners much quicker.
