Oil prices are down and the Dow is 51000!

One word comes to mind? Manipulation!!!!!!!!

Someone is making a lot of money!

There are three IPOs in the wings - OpenAI, Anthropic, and SpaceX, and the great orange one has no doubt ordered that no stocks will be allowed to fall more than 0.1%/week until these three have debuted and/or the elections are held.

Remember, the exchanges have long since ceased to be fair or even an accurate gauge of the value of a company. It is a casino. Trump is an expert at running casinos. The house always wins in the end ...

... unless it's run by Trump.

A crash occurs when the divergence between the perceived and actual value of the market becomes too far apart. It doesn't occur because a specific event happens, it occurs because people no longer have faith in the market.

It is mystifying to me that any investor with any sensory apparatus whatsoever would be betting on the Mag 10 in this this obviously monumentally fragile economy.

Or maybe the simpler answer is the stock market isn't, never has been, never will be a rational market.
