She's the one whose push actually pushed him out.

I never said anything about Pelosi. Why are you dragging her into this? Especially since I don't recall her publicly attacking Biden as those I actually mentioned did.

>> I never said anything about Pelosi.

Exactly. And that's why I asked you about her. You want to blame these three guys, but they were not the big actors here.

>> Why does it matter to you?

Truth matters, always.

Pelosi was far more causative than Tapper, Clooney and Stewart. (It's fine to be angry at them, for all three can be d*cks.)

But, Biden was finished after this ...

https://www.cnbc.com/2024/07/02/nancy-pelosi-jim-clyburn-say-biden-age-concerns-are-legitimate.html

Top Democrats Nancy Pelosi and House Rep. Jim Clyburn said it is fair to raise concerns about President Joe Biden’s fitness after he stumbled through his first debate with former President Donald Trump.
Pelosi and Clyburn are some of the first high-profile Democrats to publicly validate recent anxieties about the president’s ability to wage a winning campaign against Trump.
Rep. Lloyd Doggett was the first Democrat to officially call on Biden to withdraw from the presidential race.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, of California, and House Rep. Jim Clyburn, of South Carolina, both Democrats, said Tuesday it is fair to raise concerns about President Joe Biden’s fitness after he stumbled through his first debate with former President Donald Trump on Thursday.

“I think it’s a legitimate question to say, ‘Is this an episode or is this a condition?’” Pelosi said in an MSNBC interview, noting that the question should be asked of both Biden and Trump.

In a separate MSNBC interview shortly after, Clyburn echoed that it is reasonable to wonder whether Biden’s debate performance is a signal of a larger medical issue: “I’ll have to wait on the experts in medicine to give their opinion, because I’m not a doctor, so I have no idea the extent to which all of this may have occurred.”

What triggered you into asking the question? It really doesn't matter at all about my opinion on it. Tapper, Clooney and Stewart are the ones who were attacking him in public. They with other are the ones who created the situation in the first place, not Pelosi.

Plus Tapper and Stewart with Ezra Klein and others were attacking Biden long before the debate. The debate just fed into the narrative that they had been creating for months.

I am glad George Clooney at least regretted it.

It is not like Tapper etc were from the left faction either. There was a group specifically upset about the awesome Lina Khan and Biden’s green and labor friendly moves, like that turd Mark Cuban:

https://newrepublic.com/article/187156/mark-cuban-harris-working-class

Which brings us to the billionaire investor and Shark Tank cast member Mark Cuban. Cuban, according to Forbes, is worth $5.7 billion. He holds no formal position in Harris’s campaign, but he’s become Harris’s go-to surrogate on economic issues. In that capacity, Cuban tries to reassure his fellow plutocrats that Harris isn’t serious about addressing economic inequality. He is performing that service altogether too well.

“The feedback I’m getting,” Cuban told Politico even before Harris formally became a presidential candidate, “but certainly not confirmed by the VP, is she will be far more open to business, [artificial intelligence], crypto and government as a service. Changing the policies changes the message and lets everyone know she is in charge and open, literally, for business.”

This raises the question, “Far more than whom?” Than President Joe Biden, of course, whose economic policies represent a significant shift leftward from previous Democratic administrations. Cuban voted for Nikki Haley in the Texas Republican primary, but he threw his support to Biden after Haley lost to Trump. Since Harris entered the race, Cuban has repeatedly sought to steer Harris away from Biden’s policies and away from the Biden political appointees who have implemented those policies. This is not helpful.

Biden proposed increasing the capital gains tax from 20 percent to 39.6 percent for households that earn more than $1 million. Harris said last month that she would scale that increase back to 28 percent. Afterward, Cuban told a CNBC audience, “Kamala Harris is pro-business. This is Kamala Harris’s campaign. It’s not Joe Biden’s campaign.” Cuban suggested the modification was his idea. “She listens, right?” Cuban said.

Biden proposed, for taxpayers whose wealth exceeds $100 million, a 25 percent tax on unrealized capital gains. Cuban assured that same CNBC interviewer that he talks to Harris aides “three, four times a week” and that “every conversation I’ve had is that it’s not going to happen.” It seems pretty clear that Cuban doesn’t want it to happen.

Biden appointed Lina Khan chair of the Federal Trade Commission. Along with Jonathan Kanter, who runs the Justice Department’s antitrust division, Khan is working to revive government challenges to corporate monopolism. Cuban told Semafor last week that “if it were me, I wouldn’t” reappoint Khan, echoing similar calls from billionaires Reid Hoffman and Barry Diller.

Bernie and AOC defended Lina Khan, one of the Biden’s appointees most beloved on the left flank. She even had some bipartisan support (and for once for the right reasons).

I have some vague suspicions re that debate, that shooting etc..well I don’t know..last thing I need is to be labeled conspiracy minded, when that is not really my style..it is more a testament to how wacky the times are if even I sometimes consider explanations outside the strictly banality of evil roster, which is my usual explanatory strategy as that is sufficient for most the environmental depredations I have primarily paid attention to for most of my life.

Anyway I process even planned inept chaos as banal not really Illuminati etc. But silly, solipsistic, spooky types with their brains addled by too much kayfabe, simulation theories etc. Of course whether it is advisable to say any of that about a largely male group of unclear levels of crazy one always wondered.

it's ridiculous that he did the book on Biden while ignoring trump who already was mentally unfit in 2016 (among unfit in every other way as well).
