And they have been measured in their response. We and Israel have been the agressors in thi; Iran has one of the most hostile geographies to attempt to invade and they have been dug in there for millenia. Even islam was transformed into a new branch when it arrived.

I'm not defending the war. I'm still not clear why Trump started it. His stated reason around nuclear capabilities are, like everything else that comes out of his mouth, lies.
But I also can't defend Iran's response.
