My observation is that it is a trailing indicator.

No financial gurus want to go public with how bad global trade, the US Dollar and Yen, will collapse. I saw 2 predict a bounce over the weekend, but their eyes and demeanor didn't jive with their prognostication.

We're entering a war of attrition, not just for our finest brave soldiers and munitions, but for capitalism itself. Trade is getting whacked and products we import will disappear.

Trump is leading the world into a global recession.

I hope the war mongers are happy. Please go fucking volunteer to be Trump’s cannon fodder on Kharg island.

But it's impossible not to feel some pain. Unfortunately the pain is just beginning. Inflation, zero job growth, massive deficits, Ai slop, loss of economic allies, and completely leaderless government spells doom.

Relatively calm so far after Friday’s drubbing.
9:51 CDT, 10 hours before 9:30 EDT NY open.

This chart is the last year under Trump and when they bragged about “50,000 Dow”.
