I've said it before and I'm saying it again...

I like Democrats. I prefer the company of Democrats. Here are a few reasons why:

-- compassion
-- a tendency to think forward, towards the future, rather than fetishizing a past that never existed
-- a reliance on (or at least respect for) science and the facts it uncovers
-- better cultural output (no Kid Rock for me, thank you)
-- generosity without the expectation of reciprocity
-- empathy
-- coherence of thought, word, and action (most of the time)
-- tolerance of heterodoxy
-- willingness to meet people where they are without pretense or patronization
-- resistance to death cults
-- higher quality and deeper conversations
-- worldliness
-- their sense of humor is actually funny and not mean spirited
-- few red hats
-- a general desire for peace in the world
-- better gas efficiency.

It is good to be on the correct side of history.

"They" say the upcoming midterms may be a rout. We may even win back the Senate and realign American politics away from Donald Trump and his cadre of sycophants.

Should we win the House and the Senate, I look forward to the figurative castration of the executive for all to see.

The King is dead, long live the Republic.

1. Good Democratic attributes - I prefer them as well. I hope we focus more on Climate Change in the future.

Just think, if we allow more reasonably priced EVs to be sold in the US then gas prices would become irrelevant.

Political views come and go, however, the degradation due to climate change is one issue that will continue to get worse.

I have always thought the biggest difference between us and them is we don't have to actually experience something to care about it happening.......

It could happen any time. Literally any time it just might happen. Poof and no more Trump. Hell, it could be happening now and we just don't know about it.

But I strongly suspect that there will be ICE agents at the polls.

The mail service will misroute or fail to deliver thousands of ballots in time combined with mis-stamping their dates.

That voter data that has been given to the DOJ will discover that quite a few voters in democratic strongholds will have been removed.

Donald and the GOP, his cabinet know that if Donald loses - there will be hell to pay.

BiBi knows that if Donald loses that support for Israel will diminish - big time if we have boots on the ground.

Donald will double down on doing stupid shit - it is what he has always done.

I am quite optimistic.

It feels almost as though the GOP is resigned to losing the House and are starting to very conspicuously panic about their chances in the Senate.

Nothing about Trump is competent. He can't steal elections any more than he can touch his toes.

An appreciation of doing the right thing even when no one's looking simply because it's the right thing. And actual creativity. I mean how many times can Republicans rehash the same old boring crap? If you've seen one segment of Fux News you've seen them all. Same hyperventilation over the same tired crap.

Democrats must be firm and resolute to ensure that nothing of this sort is ever possible again by holding accountable those who have been responsible for putting us on the precipice of where we currently stand.
