The United States national debt is set to balloon to $64 trillion over the next 10 years, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said on Wednesday, citing a jump in annual deficits that owes in part to tax cuts enacted by President Donald Trump, ABC News reports.

Especially for a country that is at present gleefully alienating its allies (aka its leading investors in treasuries) and prioritizing the rehabilitation of Russia, the most broke (and despised) country in the developed world.
Maybe someone could explain to Americans why this might be a big fat problem down the road.
