Univ. of Oklahoma punishes grad student for failing Christian student who didn't do the assignment - Friendly Atheist

Dec 26, 2025
Samantha Fulnecky, a conservative student at the University of Oklahoma, insisted she was a victim of religious discrimination after receiving a failing grade on a homework assignment for which she didn’t produce anything of value but referenced the Bible a whole bunch of times.

Now, the grad student TA who gave her that grade has been banned from teaching classes by the university. It's an utterly insane decision.

Is that the name of a feel sorry for me and whine about it class? Does one get credit for pretending the constitution does not apply to said victims? Does Oklahoma disregard the objective observations of teachers because someone with a Bible has been trained to whine? American Servicemembers die for this?

Fulnecky's clumsy, poorly written attack on transgender people and on her classmates' character—she called them "cowardly"—seemed calculated once Fulnecky's lawyer mother—who defended rioters that attacked the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021—and their ties to Turning Point USA were revealed.
