7. Young guys, try some other way to meet women besides the dating apps. Obviously, they aren't working for many of you.

I met my husband at a nightclub bar and we’ve been married now 36 years. But I’d never date/marry a guy who had a permanent bar stools. I liked this guy and he used to hang out all the time in a particular bar and I realized he was an alcoholic. I got over that little crush quickly.

I'll be 69 in January. I would have been 33. But I was never the prettiest girl in the place. I was usually the "wing gal". I never married, but over the years I've dated guys that I met just about every way EXCEPT meeting them in a bar, including personal ads back in the 90s and early 00s, then dating apps. Given that I'm a Democratic atheist living in Texas, it's just easier for me to lay all my cards on the table.

of a much deeper problem. He would never have come to power in a healthy society.

the Heritage Foundation/Freedom Foundation/Rupert Murdoch used to catapult (and normalize) their 1950's racist white christian male agenda into the mainstream...Mitch McConnell despises Trump but he used Trump's vanity to pack the courts with incompetent ultra right wing nobodies with "instructions" to nullify Roe v Wade, restrict voting rights, marginalize Blacks/Latinos/LGBTQ+, starve the poor, and deny basic healthcare to the most vulnerable...and he used Trump's insatiable greed to pass a massive tax giveaway to the top 1%..

MAGA craters without Trump...Vance, the idiot with his foot permanently imbedded in his putrid mouth, does not have the gravitas to perpetuate MAGA ...and Mike Johnson is rendered impotent without Trump up his ass and in his ear...

8. Blaming voters is what losers do

I'll say it again, Republicans came up with a narrative for people's frustrations (the problem is immigrants and other countries are cheating us on trade and something something trans people) while the Democratic messaging is "things are great now, don't let Trump mess them up".

I think it's also ironic how liberal people start sounding like conservatives when it comes to scolding Trump voters. "A Democrat is in the white house and you're struggling? Sounds like a skill issue. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps you bigot!"

It's like there's a sizable chunk of our party that doesn't want to admit the supposedly-sexist "Bernie Bros" were right all along. Zohran Mamdani's campaign should be the final blow in that battle. If we want to win elections, we need to run as new-deal Democrats.

I learned that voters have both rights and responsibilities. Those responsibilities included paying attention to what candidates stand for and what their moral character is, and use one's God-given judgment to make the best choice among candidates. I am afraid I have to put some blame on any voter who seems in my mind to clearly fail to live up to those responsibilities.
