Never sit at a protest. Especially if there are provacateurs or any hint of violence.

If you are sitting down, you do not see what is going on beyond the crowd around you. If something happens you have no warning.

If you are sitting down, you can't get up quickly. You can't start running immediately. A crowd surge will run over you. You could be severely injured or die.

If there is a provocation just leave. Or form a very wide circle around the criminals. But best is to just get out of the area. That is the best way to shut down a provocation and be save.

Maintain situational awareness at all times. If you sit down you lose situational awareness.
