Under His Eye

RFK Jr: "When my uncle was president, the fertility rate in this country was 3.5%. Today it is 1.6%. The replacement rate -- in other words the amount of fertility you need to keep your population even -- is 2.1%. We are below replacement. That is a national security threat to our country."

What are they implying here? Do they want to force women to have children against their will? Because that is exactly what it sounds like. This is some serious "Handmade's Tale" rethoric.

The government has no input into when, where, how or why people make decisions about their family.
Where is the so-called "Party of Small Government" in all this?

The boys really don’t want more babies to diaper. And feed. And educate.

It’s all about hairy chest thumping bragging.

We don't have enough white babies is a national security threat.

Look how far we have come. When Steve King said a similarly obnoxious thing, the republicans said he had to go. Now they all wallow in racist shit.

Male fertility is falling because of plastics. This includes quantity and quality.

Male desirability is falling because .... well you know. Who would want to get involved with them?

When the economy provides more for it's people, and the basic economy raises the lifestyles of it's people, the birth rate drops.

It's why we need immigration to keep the population at or near current levels.

In order to keep our population constant, or growing, we have to accept more immigrants, presumably from countries that have a birth rate above the replacement rate.

Which countries might those be? hint: They aren't in Europe.

The first birth control pill, Enovid, was approved in 1960. So likely in use but probably not very common during JFK's time in office.
