Democrats launching 'all-hands-on-deck' voter registration effort

he Democratic National Committee (DNC) is launching an “all-hands-on-deck” voter registration push this week as the party has lagged behind the GOP in recruiting new voters.

The DNC announced Monday it will hold more than 50 voter registration events this week in 27 states and territories, with National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday. The organization said this is the first time in years it is directly supporting registration efforts for the annual day devoted to getting people signed up to vote.

“During the DNC’s Voter Registration Week of Action, Democrats will be all-hands-on-deck to organize and register voters across the country,” said DNC Chair Ken Martin in a statement.

Martin noted that the effort comes after the DNC’s “Organizing Summer” during which it expanded its volunteer base to 41,000 people and made contact with over 1.6 million voters.

A campaign where they ask people what Republicans have done for them, and then point out what Republicans have done to them after voting them in. The Texas government, run by Republicans, let people drown instead of warning them about impeding flash flooding and evacuating. Then they held a special session for the flood victims, which they used instead to grab more power for themselves. Republicans at the national level voted their healthcare away for tax cuts to billionaires. And they continue to let Trump abuse his power, particularly with tariffs. They refuse to curb his abuses of power.

Democrats also need to run on reversing everything they’ve done, from healthcare to tariffs. They need to tell people that they care about them, and Republicans don’t, and they will show it by reversing every terrible and destructive Republican/Trump policy.
