And it's also true that being a "philanthropist" when you get old does not make up for what you did to get the money in the first place.
I'd rather the billionaire not accumulate the money by cheating the public, the workers or the country then give it all away at the end but instead giving much of it away all through one's life with donations, charitable work, honesty and ethics.
