Wow - our government is really disliked

I like to read what other countries say about us and our policies. For decades it was a mix of adoration and some criticism. Now it's just heavy duty criticism. Korea is especially critical right now and I can't blame them. I'd be pissed, too

Take a look at the many articles in the Korean Times. It's ugly. https://www.koreatimes.co.kr/?edition=international

I worked for Korean firms and understand how they stand together in the business world. We will see repurcussions from many Korean companies. Not just automotive, but others as well. We have no one to blame but ourselves. We voted in that dumbass as a country and now our racism has been shared with the world.

I hope that every multinational company reads this and bring back all their US based workers AND close all factories and businesses.

This is Gestapo Tactics.

I have only recently begun to stop scoffing at the notion of "good Germans."

On a similar exchange of workers for training/evaluation. For a couple weeks to a couple of months at a shot. Never more than 75 days or so. Just a regular visa over there. If has alwss we ya been no big deal- my U.S. company just paid my U.S. wages

If they do that here, Stephen Miller would have them in cages , being eaten by alligators, and shipping the remains to El Salvador.

I am so embarrassed for this country.

Plus, look at this:

Snip from article:

Others directed blame at Washington, arguing that the U.S. refused to issue proper visas in an effort to protect its own labor market, while pushing ahead with an accelerated construction schedule that left the companies with no choice but to circumvent visa rules.

Snip

Entrapment.

Korea must have refused to kiss his ass and pay huge bribes.
So he trapped them and got revenge.

Other countries don't sneer at and condemn the US government, they are more targeted than that.

What is on the nose globally:
1. Having a non politician and semi functional destructive egomaniac in the White House.

Flowing on from that:
2. The people Trump appointed, also not experienced, and destructive in their need to kiss Trump's feet - eg Musk.
3. Disdain for the voters who forgot what it is supposed to be all about, and voted for Republicans.

4. Victimization of minority groups.

5. Effect on the average citizen, mostly negative, eg tariffs.

6. Misplaced adoration for rabble rousers, like Kirk.

(Government for the people? Not any more.)

And the big one:
7. No checks and balances that could have stopped this trainwreck from ever leaving the station and gaining momentum.

And wait around to see what Wisconsin voters do.

very bad, very fast so people could finally see what a fuck-up he is and we could right the ship quickly with the smallest amount of damage. Because I knew even then that damage was inevitable.

Well, things have gotten very bad very fast, and none of the people who need to see are seeing.

They will need to become completely disastrous, and they will, and there is little we can do about it but hold on and try to ride it through the best we can.

I sincerely hope the people who voted for him get all the karma that's coming to them.

They own it. All of it.

Yet very few see the damage they have wrought. It's easier to blame minorities than it is to blame Dear Leader. So while we all squabble about gay trans immigrants, the billionaire class is robbing us blind.

That is who really voted for the GOP - those wealthy bastards who funded this mess. The plebes at the bottom just went along with it because TSF said he would make their lives better. Those at the bottom have no ability to analyze whether TSF actually did any of the things he promised.
