The Kirk murder has thrown a wrench into Trump's strategy of continued division.

Because it has caused people to start talking about stopping the heated rhetoric and to try and heal the nation.

That is the last thing that Trump wants. He cannot live without division and hateful rhetoric. It is the air he breathes.

In his discussion with the Utah Governor, he showed that he was more interested in using the Kirk murder to further divide the people than to try and bridge the differences.

Weak and too nice with empathy.

This is for suckers and losers.

He needs hatred and division to keep up the hostile takeover of the US.

This episode couldn't have been scripted any better to suit the authoritarian agenda.
I would use the term 'made to order' - but that would result in only encouraging/inspiring a bunch of the 'conspiracy' fruit flies.

He can pretend those supporters of his that attempted to take his life were leftists, they weren't. He can pretend Kirk's killer was a leftist, he wasn't. Division doesn't give a fuck who it kills. He's playing with fire, and if he doesn't stop, he might get...

6. I disagree. With maybe one notable exception on the right, there is more division than ever among the rank and file.

This is due to the MAGA crew being absolutely livid at anyone and everyone on the left because of the Kirk murder. They want blood and revenge. None of them are calling for lowering the temperature.

His death was an accelerant for and not a reversal of divisive trends.
