1. That was lot of money for someone his age. I thought maybe it was his dad, if that was also his dad's name.

4. They ask your age. But, that doesn't mean people don't lie.

Contribution rules
I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
I am at least eighteen years old.

Still, where would he get the money? And wouldn't his occupation be "student"?

5. People under 18 ARE allowed to make political contributions.

From the Federal Elections Commission website:

An individual who is under 18 years old may make contributions to candidates and political committees, subject to limitations, if:

-The decision to contribute is made knowingly and voluntarily by the minor;

-The funds, goods or services contributed are owned or controlled by the minor, proceeds from a trust for which he or she is a beneficiary or funds withdrawn by the minor from a financial account opened and maintained in his or her name; and

-The contribution is not made using funds given to the minor as a gift for the purpose of making the contribution, and is not in any way controlled by another individual.

So his age is irrelevant.

aside from the fact that teenage boys are just not the typical demographic for political fundraising, I would think.

Sure, exceptions exist, of course.

10. That was rather rude.

You explicitly asked this question: "Can minors even donate to political things?"

I simply answered your question and you come back with it's irrelevant? Then why did you ask the question in the first place?

11. I should have parsed my reply better

It should've read:

"'It's irrelevent' (your quote) aside from the fact that teenage boys are just not the typical demographic for political fundraising, I would think.

Sure, exceptions exist, of course."

I was not trying to be rude, and I'm sorry if it came off that way. Peace.

posting so quickly to thwart the other side's claims, and some folks are fine with lying.

Guarantee 6 months from now we'll still here that the shooter was a white supremacist, donated to trump, wrote love letters to Melanoma, and wanted to kill other white supremacists.
