What he "couldn't care less" about was the entire thought he was expressing.

“I’ll tell you something that’s going to get me in trouble, but I couldn’t care less,” Trump replied. “The radicals on the right oftentimes are radical because they don’t want to see crime. They’re saying, ‘We don’t want these people coming in. We don’t want you burning our shopping centers. We don’t want you shooting our people in the middle of the street.’”

"The radicals on the left are the problem – and they are vicious and horrible and politically savvy. They want men in women’s sports, they want transgender for everyone, they want open borders. The worst thing that happened to this country.”

He further demonized the left and further stoked the hatred, in utter oblivion to what the host just asked. To me, that was far more damning than the way it was presented on Art Candee's tweet.

If you are lucky enough to reach the sunset years you might understand.
Let a mentor take the credit, your a team player in his eyes. The payoff is down the road. Or better yet, a subordinate. You may gain an allie. Certainly he will never forget.
I'm no fan of the toadies in this regime. But IRL in working for a living? Nothing good comes from being eager to take the credit.
