Massie joins Warren in condemning Trump for inflaming Kirk shooting....

they are the only 2 high profile politicians I KNOW OF who have had the guts to state the obvious. Now that the shooter has turned himself in, it's pretty GD obvious the Orange Stain was wrong again and his reckless comments did nothing but inflame the situation. Massie isn't my favorite guy, but he's showing that he's no lackey like 99.9% of his Repuke colleagues in DC:

toward Liz Cheney. Massive disagreement on all things policy related, but grudging growing respect for evidence of intrinsic integrity

dude is bad news generally BUT he's showing some redeeming qualities lately. First with regard to the Epstein case and now calling out Trump on his reckless comments after the Kirk murder. Props.

because it added so much to the national debt. Of course he would have been fine with slashing all kinds of government services to "save money" instead, but the relevant point is that he was consistent in his principles, even though it earned him the enmity of Trump, and guaranteed a Trump backed primary opponent.

Getting older, but doing fine, as long as I don't dwell beyond what it useful on what's happening to our nation. And you?

Massie sucks, but, in this one small, but important area, he is a temporary ally.

He's admitted he has a target on his back. He's been threatened continuously but has found the courage to stand up and speak out. He should be a role model to his Republican brethren because together they could stop the craziness.

Instead, they march like lemmings into the abyss.

I'm not sure for whom he is trying to do this. He has said some rather crazy things in the past. But he is not stupid, he is an MIT grad after all. I'm not sure what his plans and ambitions are, but sifting out some of the bullshit is not a bad thing. I doubt I would ever agree with him on much, but backing away from the edge of the cliff is not a bad thing.
