I know its not nice to judge people by their looks

But I am watching the briefing, and Patel looks like a deer in the headlights. Not quite impressive for the leader of the FBI.
They are showing a video of the shooter jumping from the roof and exiting the scene.

I do not see where he stashed his gun, but apparently, he had it on him and dropped it in the wooded area.
