If this was taken before the shooting, he must already have the gun in place. That sounds pretty risky. On the other hand, if it was after the shooting wouldn't he have a rifle to abandon in the woods while he fled?

There looks to be a square shape like the butt of a rifle sticking up out of the left side of the shirt in picture. He probably has it slinged over his shoulder under his shirt. That’s what I’m seeing anyway.

And the resolution isn't too good. I assume they will have a lot of people to sort through.

They never caught the Jan 6th bomber despite the video. Still, that person did a better job covering ID.

He did not just show up from Mars.
He has a life. School, job, family, friends, roommates, etc.
There are enough people who could ID him.

The Jan 6 bomber is a different kettle of fish.
They had a mask on. And winter clothing.
No fingerprints on the weapon found that we know of.
Not once person came forward that we know of to report a possible identity.

And it is possible that the J6 bomber is well connected and people
have covered for them.

I don't see people covering for the Kirk shooter.

They never caught DB Cooper despite a plane full of eye witnesses. It hard to know. The typical thing is, dude posts, brags, tells someone . . . Most criminals are stupid. They go back for the deposit on the Ryder truck.

He had a meticulous off the grid lifestyle.
Well planned and well thought out.

He was also meticulous about not leaving forensic evidence for the police to find.
He also paused for long periods of time between crimes.
And there seemed to be no connection between the victims.

The only reason he was caught is because his brother turned him in.

So far the Kirk shooter has not shown this degree of intelligence and planning.

However please note I am basing my comments on the material the FBI has released
which could be worth jackshit at this point.

And the media frenzy that followed. So much disinformation and the media rushing to judgement. Richard Jewell was crucified by the press while being innocent. Patel not helping things by feeding the press frenzy like an incompetent boob. The American media is awful, but we knew this.

Not obviously a bald eagle - I can't see any white for the head - which is what you might expect in front of a US flag.

Looks like people have found it - it is a bald eagle, with its head dipped:

https://www.facebook.com/ChristinaAguayoNews/posts/breakingnews-the-suspect-appears-to-be-wearing-this-shirtsold-from-the-disabled-/1308093914022219/

'Land of the Free' above the picture, 'Home of the Brave' below it. Eagle's head is just below the bottom right corner of the 'stars' section of the flag.

Outseam is measurement of waist to ankle.

A man who is only 5 ft 6 will have 3 feet length from waist to ankle.

A man 6ft 2 will have 43 inch outseam.

I just measured my outseam and it is 36 inches exactly.
And I am a petite short woman, though I admit I am short waisted.
My length is in my legs. So I could hide this gun wearing roomy trousers?

But I don't know how well I could walk with it, especially up and down stairs.

We would have to try it out to see.

I assume there are removable scopes?

We need a tallish man use a yardstick to test out our theory.

You are right, I could be wrong.

It is possible in terms of measurements alone.
But does not take into account the dynamic of walking up and down stairs.

I wonder if he took the gun apart somehow.

I tried not to pay much attention to Charlie Kirk while he was alive, but the released video and the please by Donald John’s FBI for the public’s assistance has been fascinating. I can’t help but wonder how much more distraction Kirk’s murderer is going to provide before he gets caught.

If he gets caught.

A shout-out to any right-wing lurkers reading this post: if Joe Biden’s FBI and ADF were still in place instead of being gutted by Donald John what’s-his-name, I don’t doubt that the killer would be much closer to getting caught.

The shoes. I had read that they determined he was wearing Converse tennis shoes based on tread patterns. If true, the photos seem to verify this.

Also, the hat is kind of odd. Is that just a triangle, or is there some writing on it. While a boring design, it's not something many people would go out of their way to buy. Not like, say, a Yankees hat. I can't imagine many of his hat being out in the wild.
