Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) called for lifetime social media bans on all people who "belittle" the killing of MAGA influencer Charlie Kirk.

"I'm going to use Congressional authority and every influence with big tech platforms to mandate immediate ban for life of every post or commenter that belittled the assassination of Charlie Kirk," Higgins announced Thursday on X.

And what does "belittle" even mean? Are we forbidden from saying that we don't care that he's dead or that we won't miss him, or are we only prohibited from saying we're actually glad he's dead? If we were taught never to say anything about the dead unless it’s good, can we say, "He’s dead. Good”?

If I assert the death is worth the continued ownership of weapons as he did, would that be construed by the right wing as insulting, accurate, or both?
