Just saw Colbert's show with Justice Sotomayor.

She asked that we read the whole thing instead of just reading her dissent. Does anyone know where I can download it?

Thanks!

The regular cases are a lot easier to find. The "shadow docket" cases, I haven't figured out where they are located on the SC website, but searching brings up this, which is the Kavanaugh concurring opinion and Sotomayor dissenting opinion, which starts on page eleven.

I am so glad she is getting out to talk to people -- and have some different interactions than she likely gets during the work week. Writing children's books will enable her to make the rounds more often than if she wrote longer tomes.

"Supreme Court Lifts Restrictions on L.A. Immigration Stops
A federal judge had ordered agents not to make indiscriminate stops relying on factors like a person’s ethnicity or that they speak Spanish."

Most cases have more structure to the written decisions, so don't take this one as indicative of how you might muddle through a regular decision.

If you have a "favorite," I'd say read the Wikipedia page and then the decision. Since covid, I'm glad we can hear the arguments presented to the court, usually just an hour or two. I find that helps, even if I don't read the entire results at the end. But after hearing her comments last night, I'm going to give it a try.
