We have no idea WHY Kirk was killed. Could be over a financial dealing gone bad, or some other personal matter.
Could be someone just trying to be famous for killing someone at a political event.
We don't know who and we don't know why.

I love grave dancing!
Kirk richly deserves it.
He wanted people to die for the 2nd amendment. He died for his own cause.
He and his family should be happy.

(30,657 posts)Charlie Kirk thought it was fine that some people should die at the shrine of the 2nd amendment and he got his wish. Now we move on.
Thank you.

(62 posts)Look what recently happened to the Ukrainian young woman in North Carolina.
The bottom line: Weve got to get to the point in this country where/when people can hold different ideological and political viewpoints without violently attacking each other for doing so.

Trying to justify this killing is just plain wrong.

(42,006 posts)Are you seriously comparing Charlie Kirk to Hitler?
Hitler invaded sovereign nations, caused a World War, and was responsible for the deaths of millions upon millions of people by 1945.
Charlie Kirk was a political activist with right-wing ideas that many found abhorrent. Please...

Trump has already talked about taking Canada, the Panama Canal, Greenland, and building a resort in Gaza, as well as standing with Putin in the invasion of Ukraine, encouraged by the likes of Kirk. As for all his other scapegoating, cruelty, division and spread of hated, misinformation and bigotry, you can't see any similarities?

(20,622 posts)So difficult to be a Buddhist these days.
But with a feeling of
Wisdom
Good intent
Right speech, and
Right actions
there are more, but if more people got this far, what a wonderful world it would be.
I read about two lay Buddhist leaders discussing politics, and the solution was simply more people with humanistic values in word and deed.
It's really that simple, and
It's really that hard.
Peace

(11,385 posts)You 'd rather that the confederates won because there would be no resistance? You'd rather be speaking German because it was wrong for America to fight back in WW2? The heroes that shoot school shooters are wrong? "Find a safer neighborhood," is a cop out.
