Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. appeared before a Senate committee Thursday to answer for the ongoing upheaval at the Centers for Disease Control. Things got heated between Kennedy and Sen. Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire when she demanded evidence for his decision to remove the CDC’s recommendation that healthy children and pregnant women receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

“People who want to exercise their freedom of choice are being denied that because, you know, because you are citing data that you won't produce to the public,” Hassan said.

“You're making things up to scare people, and that's a lie,” Kennedy interjected.

“With respect, I do not think I'm the one making things up,” Hassan replied.

... is a pathological liar and a disgrace to his family name. Christ, even his mother apologized for him just before she died. I would like to think Ethel Kennedy was apologizing for his very existence.

He screwed around on her constantly, flaunted it to his friends, filed for divorce to continue on with other women and then after she committed suicide, to get back at her sisters, he drags them into court with his power and money, and of course claiming how much he cared for her, claimed her body despite being divorced and had her buried, seemingly for show, right next to the Kennedy's. Then he digs her up and throws her out for burial far from the rest and never had the decency to mark her grave. Of course the Kennedy power and money will never let her family ever do anything to correct this situation.

This was not just petty on his part. It was vindictive and sick and is one of the most despicable things I've ever seen a man do to his wife who he had openly disgraced so willingly and so often while they were married, then divorced her and then still sought to treat her like garbage in any way he could. Pure scum of the earth.

My mother had polio as a child and because of the musculoskeletal toll on her body, her labor with me was
prolonged, painful and dangerous. Even used forceps. I sustained some damage - was deprived of oxygen for a medically substantial
length of time. She dared not have any other children. I have suffered from various ailments through the years. And now? This ignorant malignant
show-boater casts shade on the motivations of the very fine people trying to head off childhood disease like polio and others, and
has damaged (maybe to the point of no return) our means to develop truly life-saving interventions.

32. My mother-in-law was one of the last people in the US to have polio. It was a lifetime of pain and struggle...

...for her as well, although she did manage to have four daughters, including my wife: My father-in-law was a physician, so that helped.

In the last years of her life, she suffered from post-Polio syndrome (after my father-in-law had passed away). Most physicians were not familiar with it, since survivors were increasingly rare.

It sounds as if you are in a sense, although you didn't contract the disease, a survivor yourself. My youngest sister-in-law also suffered from brief oxygen deprivation in her birth, so I know something about that is well, although my wife and her other two sisters had normal deliveries.

In a sense, although it is not physical in her case as in yours, my wife is something of a survivor, because the situation definitely affected my wife's upbringing psychologically, because my mother-in-law was reliant on pain medications and antidepressants. It made a difference, of course, in family dynamics. My wife left home at 17, never to return other than for visits.

I'm glad my mother-in-law didn't live to see this junkie illiterate anti-science brat come to power in this role. She, like all sane Americans, would have been horrified.

He could not come up with a counter arguments with all of the health organizations lined up against his vaccine policies.

All Americans who want the COVID vaccine should be able to get it.

But there is one group he left out to get the COVID vaccines.

People who are under 65 and healthy and contracted COVID before.
Or in contact with someone with compromised immune systems.
