Trump and Hegseth commit an extra judicial murder of people on a boat from Venezuela.

Question: Has the Supreme Court ruled that Trump has immunity? I assume Hegseth does not. Please correct me if I am wrong.

will always be a case-by-case (and partisan) judgment.

Back story: as a 22 year-old, college graduate draftee in Army basic training in 1970, the question was raised as to whether or not Lt Calley should be court martialed for the My Lai massacre.

I raised my hand in the affirmative. I was in the minority. I was not judging his guilt or innocence. The Court Martial should do that.

But reading the room, the majority thought there should not have even been a judicial procedure.

The President says they’re bad guys. The public: it’s ok to kill them. Sometimes my fellow Americans scare the s**t out of me. We shall see.

I remember the extreme violence of the Italian mafia in NYC. It took several trials to take down John Gotti. Sammy the Bull, an admitted serial killer is off living his best life. They were not blown up.
Furthermore, I doubt someone of El Chapo's stature was on that boat. wouldn't it have been better to arrest them and get them to flip on the higher ups??
