Xi knows how to make Trump look small.

(Maybe one of the reasons we don't do military parades is because it's not really our thing, and it definitely is their thing - at least for the Chinese and North Koreans and, formerly, the Russians).

His actions suggest he cannot control Putin. I think it bothers him, and as a result he cracks down harder by sending out ICE and the National Guard — thus after many other actions (tariffs, pulling finding, etc.). Accusations about his fitness as president seem to push him further to prove he’s fit or cause him to offer distractions. Don’t MAGA, GOP, the J6-ers, etc., realize he is using them to feed his ego? (Sure, they get something out of it, too.)
