It's going to start feeling like that image might not be worth the massive unemployment, for example.

5. So you're fine with the theft of the world's data and culture, all that stolen intellectual property, to train it?

and devious people putting it to use for evil purposes this moment. The phishing, hacks, malware, ransomeware, data breaches, etc., until now are benign in comparison to what’s coming.

13. Apparently there are people who don't care about that if they can have the AI spit out AI slop in seconds.

20%, or maybe 40% unemployment in the near future. All the resulting wealth going to AI owners. What do you think that society will look like?

8. There is also the environmental cost

Artificial intelligence systems are creating vast emissions – and it is getting worse, according to a major new study.

The increasing energy required to train and run more complex models, as well as the much broader interest in using them, is bringing serious environmental consequences, a new paper has warned.

As the systems get better, they require more computing power and therefore more energy to run. OpenAI’s current GPT-4, for instance, uses 12 times more energy than its predecessor.

If you don't know anything about why tacos are funny right now, it makes no sense. The body doesn't look like Trump. The suit doesn't look like his clothes. The posture is confident, not defensive. The setting is an office, not the Oval Office. It's nothing more than a slightly surreal image, without heart, without irony, without mockery, utterly without context. It took nothing to make except boiling lakes and wrecking the air in primarily Black neighborhoods and stealing actual people's actual work. There is no inspiration, no humor, no insight. It's an empty picture made for an empty audience.

Fuck this AI slop.

17. But they added AI-slop melted cheese slopping over the side of the taco shell! Of course we don't know how many

AI slop images were discarded between the one in the OP and this one. Each wasting water and electricity, and appearing at all only because of the theft of all the images the AI company could steal.

Isn't AI wonderful?
