Jamie Raskin: "60,000 metric tons of food that were bound to serve the poorest kids on earth"

Rep. Jamie Raskin

@RepRaskin
Because of Trump's dismantling of USAID, 60,000 metric tons of food that were bound to serve the poorest kids on earth are now on the brink of rotting in America. Our anti-hunger groups are ready to spring into action.

What say you, Mr. President?

All billionaires are not. But many of them are. This is concrete evidence of it.

It's EASY to see that Musk:

1). WANTED what Trump had in terms of "celebrity," power, and "media presence."

2). If you watch Musk's "antics" from January 20th onward, he was clearly going for some kind of drugged court jester role in Trump's MAGAt kingdom.

3). Trump "insiders" who "spoke on the condition of anonymity" said that when Musk would go into his CosPlay comedy routine and no one would laugh or respond, he'd "pout."

He tried and failed. People don't like him. His fanboys do, but that's it.

It seems most of the world dislikes him.

He should take his damn money and go play elsewhere, stop cramming it into the gears of OUR government to gum it up so it doesn't work anymore (except for HIM).

In terms of "making Twitter better," that was never his intention. He wanted a pre-made audience that he could manipulate, and he got it. He wanted to spend millions to purchase and influence an election, and he got it.

Because Trump is a consummate troll (as is Musk) and you can never take 100% of what he says seriously, we'll never know exactly what Trump meant the day after the election when he "thanked" Musk for being "so good with election system computers." It might have simply been Trump's "payback" for his "big lie"...sort of "YOU stole 2020 from ME, so I stole 2024 from YOU," because he ALWAYS lusts for payback, even when the thing that pissed him off was 100% legitimate.

His old man drilled that thing into him about failure NEVER being ACCEPTABLE, and it became a cornerstone of Trump's pathology.

Justice matters.

whisper into his ears tell him to say. And, they want those poor kids to die in the name of "thinning the herd." They don't care that all that food will rot, because they're sociopaths. May they all get what they deserve.

I sure as hell don't agree with dismantling USAID, and the food should have gone to wherever it was supposed to go.

But that said, this has been known for awhile. Any food that is sitting somewhere and still edible, should simply be made available to the most local food bank right there where it is sitting.

That would be the minimally decent thing to do. But we cannot expect this evil administration to even do that.

Someone should introduce the republicons to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

They have a lot to learn.

That is not the problem. The problem is that we have a bunch of selfish, self-absorbed, avaricious creatures running the country who have not ounce of compassion and yet claim to be "very good christians."
