Trump::: “Happy Memorial Day” to Japanese troops.

Donald recognizes the ultimate sacrifice made by Japan's military in WWll by saying “Happy Memorial Day” to Japanese troops.

Memorial Day is supposed to be an American holiday to honor our American heroes who sacrificed so much but now Trump and his loyal followers have remade it to include our enemies who fought against us.

And Trump says "Happy Memorial Day" to the Japanese military that killed many thousands of our own military.

In any case, that utterance which Trump made in 2019 was inappropriate. It was not the product of intelligent thinking.

During the Battle of Guadalcanal the USS Meredith with viciously attacked by 40 Japanese bombers which
sunk the ship in 10 minutes. My uncle was one of the men who was killed as they fought valiantly that day.

I know the Japanese are our allies now and I lived in Japan as a military kid, and loved the country and the people.

However I do not appreciate the US president giving accolades to the Japanese military during WWII.

I am thankful my career US Air Force father who fought in three US wars is not alive to see this statement today.
I do not even want to think about his reaction. His brother was the one killed on the USS Meredith and he could never
even mention his name it was so painful for him.

Maybe a yearly week of festivities!
