Imagine how massive the tax breaks for billionaires must be when cutting $700B from Medicaid, $500B from Medicare, and $300B in food assistance STILL leaves a $4T deficit.

(4,981 posts)These numbers are total cuts over 10 years, and some of the reduction will be based on not letting spending on these programs grow with inflation. That means a much larger effective cut in year 10 than year 1. A new Democratic Administration in 2029 would be able to reverse the worst of this awful budget.

(28,210 posts)The average American made 50,000 dollars. It would take the average 10 Americans 176,000 years to make what the 10 richest made in 1 year.
These tax cuts are basically for 70 people. The 4 trillion dollar addition to the debt is low ball, I say 7 trillion.
These tax cuts are projected for the next 10 years but these tax cuts are permanent.
