I had to go get some paint yesterday...

I needed two gallons. just two.

150 bucks!!!!! I was lucky, however, that I shopped now. there was a Memorial Day discount. 50 bucks. But the sales person said, "next week, the prices go back up".

I nodded, and said, "well, it's not your fault, we all know who fault this is"

she gave a knowing side grin, "oh yes we do".

my local hardware store is great. the paint guy stopped me the other day cuz i grabbed a can of tint base when what i wanted was white. he pointed out that it was $5 more for a quart.
but it’s been a couple yrs. it took a big jump kinda out of nowhere. 5 gal went from $60 to $90. it’s even higher now.

I pretty much gave up when I saw an 11.25 ounce bag of Doritos for $6.99.
