Freshman GOP Rep. Randy Fine calls for “nuking” Gaza in an interview on Fox News.

“The fact of the matter is the Palestinian cause is an evil one,” he says, following last night’s deadly shooting of two Israeli embassy staffers who were outside the Capitol Jewish Museum in Washington where an American Jewish Committee event was being held.

“In world war two, we did not negotiate a surrender with the Nazis. We did not negotiate a surrender with the Japanese. We nuked the Japanese twice in order to get unconditional surrender,” he says. “That needs to be the same here. Just pointing it out because I think many US policymakers don’t consider using nukes to somehow be off limits.

I think it’s arguable that the US actually is a party to the events in Gaza given the extensive military, logistical and diplomatic support it has provided.

All that said, Randy Fine is uniquely murderous and genocidal in his statements and ideology.

Here's a map of that region:

Note that major cities in Israel, like Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are pretty close to the Gaza strip. Nuclear weapons do not just affect the immediate area where they detonate. You'd think a smart person who got elected to Congress would know that. I guess not.
