I am so excited. I live in Medford, OR red city in blue state and elections always go to the republicans.
Yesterday was an Election Day for school districts and libraries and every single dem that ran won!! That rarely happens here. None of them said R or D but everyone knew who was what. The two ladies for library that won were against banning books.
I guess people are finally tired of having crazy in their education.

(24,486 posts)My western Wisconsin city of 50,000 had a non-partisan mayoral election last month where both candidates were Democrats. The winner was a younger Black man in his first election which was surprising because his opponent was on the city council and had been president of the city council.
