If Tapper's rag is triggering, disregard but

who do you think are the Cabinet officers that are tattling on Biden and the executive office team?

I suspect Pete Buttigieg and Janet Yellin. I highly doubt Sec. of State Antony Blinken would talk about his former boss.

Sec. Def had his own scandal so he probably should keep his mouth shut too.

1. The SecDef's "scandal" was another made up thing by the Trumper

His deputy knew where he was and had been authorized to do the job. Just because the Trumpers couldn’t find him doesn’t mean he was derelict. they made this whole thing up out of nothing. Like they continue to do with the Biden administration. None of it true

I had heard that Biden himself wasn't in the loop on Sec. Austin's whereabouts.

Which is problematic.

I didn't know it was a partisan thing. I just thought Sec. Austin did a dumb.

It’s not like we were at war or he was the president. Does Trump know where Pete Hegseth is at the moment?

I don't think that's a good excuse.

If you’re in a major position of power, you sure as hell should keep your boss updated on your whereabouts.

He could have just as easily had a family member or aide contact someone at the pentagon or the White House to let them know that he was going into surgery.

As for Hegseth, he is perhaps the single least qualified, least capable, incompetent, irresponsible, low life, piece of shit cabinet member ever nominated by a president.but we already know who his boss is, so not surprised. Only the best.

Is that the standard?

I fully admit that I am playing by Democratic party rules and not real politic. In my naive condition, I think national security principals like the Sec of State and Def Sec shouldn't be out of reach without broad notice.

I understand your point and agree but there is a difference between Sec. Austin going (sorry) AWOL and idk, Sec. Halaand

So it was cultivated by the media.

But Biden's executive officers didn't know where he was?

I didn’t feel less safe. I don’t think our national security was threatened by incident.

It is in my mind, because those people leaking in the cabinet hiding behind anonymity are not going to get my support.

Please don't hold it against me, but it is something I can't shake now.

All of is here are so over stressed because of Trump's Washington. I'm trying to back off of news coverage and am watching a course on British history. Just to not think about our current political problems. maybe try focusing on something you enjoy outside of current news . helps me with my stress. We're all in this together. Peace to you my friend.

I get the impression it’s mostly aides and staffers to the cabinet members that spoke with Tapper and Thompson. It would have been someone fairly high up, who was involved in full cabinet meetings.

I think Pete has been mildly critical of Biden since, especially as he’s deciding his next political moves. They will all be asked this, especially if they have other political ambitions.
