With Trump saying he is going to put tariffs

on medications. I might be late to this but a specialist put me on Jardiance last week for 3rd stage kidney disease. Went by the pharmacy on the way home and $395 dollar copay per month. I tried to get an exemption from the insurer but denied within 2 hours. Tried the reduce cost from the manufacturer but make too much. Every pharmacy was 395 to 405 dollars so i searched and came upon a Canadian pharmacy and I can get 3 months for 77 dollars full price. Takes 2 to 4 weeks to get the first shipment but then ordering half way through the perscription keeps it coming on time. Just thought i would put this out there as the price if he puts tariffs on will only raise American prices even more and with tariffs will still be a lot cheaper getting them from India through a Canadian Pharmacy .Don't let them coming from India hold you back as billions of medications we pay high dollars for here come from India as the ship billions of dollars worth to America each year . Just check prices and have your doctor fax them the script for 90 days .At least it is one way to fight the makers from pricing us retired ones out of medications while Republicans want to take insurance away from a lot of us .

Australia, pensioner couple, us two.

Fixed prices on all prescriptions, $31.60 each for non pensioners. If you have a pensioner concession card, the most you will pay is $7.70.

And . . . there is a cap, clock up $XXX in a year, and thereafter scripts are filled free, up to the 31st of December.

But MAGA will tell you socialism equals Communism equals bad, right?

No idea what the British or Canadians pay for their scripts, but I'd like to hear from Brits and Canuks on that.

RepubliCons reject it because they want to oppress the masses and increase wealth and income disparity.

bought by the drug manufacturers in the US so they can keep a lock on the high prices they say because of the cost of research and developement of the drug. They get US tax dollars to do their research and this drug Jardiance is tied up until 2033 preventing the generic version from being available until then.At the price they are getting here until 2033 we could colonize Mars and have money left over just from this one drug .Oh and don't forget the extension of billions in Trumps tax cuts that could help reduce the cost of drugs if after 40 years any of those would just trickle down .
