Look I'm going to be completely blunt: I don't give a FUCKabout Springsteen or Swift and their situation with the Mango Mussolini.
You know what I wish? That literally any one of a dozen different issues got half the attention that this is getting.
Especially this poor dead women in Georgia being kept on life support for the next seven months to force her to birth her fetus. All against the wishes of her family.
Of the GENIUS Act bill that will legalize naked corruption of a sitting president.
Or this budget reconciliation bill that will literally kill tens of thousands of poor people, including women and children.
Any of these and many others are far more important. I am shedding any tears for a couple of billionaires that got talked about meanly by another billionaire.
Fuck billionaires and fuck their stupid games they play.
These are serious times and we need to stop getting distracted by rich people problems and start focusing on the people dying because of rich people.
I mean this shit with my whole chest: FUCK BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN. FUCK TAYLOR SWIFT. FUCK THE MANGO MUSSOLINI. FUCK ALL BILLIONAIRES.

(10,644 posts)Guess what? No matter how much shit that idiot talks about them they will both still be billionaires tomorrow.
While there are real issues happening in the world, impacting real people, that won't get the press coverage they are getting and those people will suffer, some will even die, on issues that barely get a mention by the news media.

(23,744 posts)The media ALWAYS pushes the "popular" stories but NEVER the consequential ones.
Trump is a master at deflection and the MSM ALWAYS falls for it because of their corporate overlords.
You know why Walter Cronkite, Huntley & Brinkley, Peter Jennings and Edward R. Murrow were such great newsmen? It's because their news division were independent of corporate overseers. They had the freedom and the motivation to tell the truth to the American people.
But as all things in the U.S., corporations bought and now control the media and they do not want controversies messing with their profits. Keep the viewers happy and distracted and the corporate profits will increase.
George Clooney is currently on Broadway in a play called, "Good Luck And Good Night" which is based on Edward R. Murrow's career. if anyone is in NYC, consider seeing the play. It is brilliant, well-written, terrifically acted and harkens back to another better time in news broadcasting.
